If I had my druthers I'd be in Montreal this weekend taking in Design Montreal Open House, a celebration of the city's impressive design culture. I'd also be mooching through the Plateau neighbourhood and especially along Rue Amherst, one of the country's best mid-century modern shopping drags. Montreal was designated a UNESCO City of Design in 2006.
