In a few hours you’ll be at the home of friendly people and pink sand beaches. Located north of Eleuthera, this out island may be small, but it has a design secret – it’s the home of model/author/entrepreneur India Hicks, as well as other stylish celebs such as Ralph Lauren.

Originally founded in 1670 as Charles Towne, the past is still very much in evidence in this coastal city that's the epitome of southern living. Main shopping drag King Street features palm trees and lush foliage interspersed amongst the historic three storey buildings. Obvious pride in their city’s history has insured that buildings are preserved, with modern signs and design incorporated but not overshadowing history along this street which bisects the neighbourhoods of Charleston like Yonge Street divides Toronto.
