Kelly Wearstler Would Wet Herself

Kelly Wearstler‘s jeans would be creamed. The custom marble table with the very special copper-finish base would be right at home in the design diva’s latest book Rhapsody (2012). In my opinion, the table, currently in the window of Of Things Past Rosedale, is a showstopper, a heartbreaker, the kind of table you want to run away with, and never redecorate again. Modern Glamour indeed (another Wearstler title).

With its striking, composite marble top and its thin, beautiful bevel, the 50″ x 46″ caramel-and-cream oval is a looker, that’s for sure. The price? OTP wants $1,250. That’s a LOT of table for $1,250!

Kelly, if you’re in town for the Toronto International Film Festival — so many people are, after all — head over to Yonge Street and get out your credit card. You can certainly afford the shipping. (I’ll expect a mention in your next book.)

That *is* a lot of glamour (with a “u”) for $1250!

And because some lilies need gilding, a little greek key on top!

Also, perhaps my favorite post title ever.

Well perhaps David, but then Jonathan Adler would be creaming ;)

I love it. We don’t need no stinkin’ (Knoll) labels!

    Does Kelly Wearstler wear jeans?

Lin, in the latest Elle Decor (Oct. 2013, page 211) is a photo of La Wearstler in jeans. Ha!
I’m still mad about that table and it’s still at OTP, although no longer in the window. Ever since blogging it I’ve been trying to figure out how to make it work in my space. By the time I arrive at a solution the table will have been sold.

Can’t you squeeze it in somehow, Chris? Doubt you’ll ever stumble across another! I’m so sick of whiter-than-white tulip table sets, this is a lovely, warm take on the look – nice find.

  7. Lin Says:

Hell Chris, at the rate you change abodes you may as well buy the table. It will no doubt work in the next place you choose to work your magic.

    :-)
