Montreal has a new budget decor blog and it’s a beauty! Montreal Digs blogger Jennifer Cook trawls Craigslist, Kijiji, yard sales and local dealers on the hunt for bargains and then she ups the ante by scouring the web for glam decor porn where similar items have been featured. Yesterday’s post about the antique Chinese screen, left, is a perfect example. Found at a yard sale for $250, Jennifer then shows inspiring examples of how such screens have been used as room dividers, headboards and well, screens.
Montreal Digs makes me long to jump on the 401 and head east. My own blogging trip to the city in 2009 bore fabulous fruit and Jennifer’s blog shows that there’s even better stuff just waiting to be snapped up on the classified sites.
