It doesn’t take much to stop me in my tracks: a sign in a window with just three words, floor model sale. What a bonus to discover that the sale belongs to Skypad (183 Bathurst Street, Suite 200), a high-end design firm specializing in hospitality contract work. I was even more delighted to see how low the prices are: that sexy Vladimir Kagan-inspired sofa, above, is just $495 (two available, plus another one in grey).

Skypad’s take on Cassina’s Dodo chair, above, is $495. The white leather Sodium sofa, below, is $800 (two available) and the olive-coloured Brno chairs (nine available) with flat steel frames are only $95 each!

Skypad has about 60 of the brown fabric, Parsons-style dining chairs, below, for just $20 each and the pair of black leather barstools are $80 each. There’s also a brown ultra-suede sofa (not shown) for $550.

Some of the items are scuffed or smudged, hence the crazy low prices, but my guess is they’ll all clean up beautifully.
