I’ve been wanting to cover Toronto’s thrifty Elegant Garage Sale but whenever I’ve gone this past year there have been more misses than hits on the showroom floor. Then last week, the stars lined up and I spotted lots of great values that I’d happily cart home if our house wasn’t already full-to-bursting.
The brass console table was $75, the Moorish-style, cut-out mirror was $95 and the leather tub chair (still wet from a scrub) was just $25.
The fantastic Machine Age coffee table above was $165 and the solid brass, three-light fixture below was just $145.
And finally, check out the side table with pull-out shelf, below left; the piece needs some TLC but OMG it’s $25! The king-size headboard with the XX motif would look amazing lacquered in gloss white and is just $95.
If you do go to EGS, be sure and check out downstairs, which is where some of the best values are hiding.
