I’ve never done a straight-up product endorsement before but the time has come. On Tuesday, I was at the Ritchies Discovery Sale (more on that in early July) where I ended up with a pair of Blanc de Chine figures simply because no one else wanted them. When nobody jumped in at the opening bid of $10, I threw up my paddle. Sold! There’s no disputing that the figures are what Mike and I would call “very lady” which is why I hadn’t planned to buy them. But for $10 I just could not refuse.
The ceramics were stained with what I can only imagine was years of tobacco smoke so I gave them a spritz with a new product I had yet to try, Nature Clean Tile & Tub Cleaner. I am not exaggerating even slightly when I say that the dirt streamed off the figurines the second the spray hit them. I did not use a rag or a tooth brush to assist in the cleaning process, nothing, just a few squirts and a rinse under the tap.
I tried the Nature Clean because it’s an all-natural, chlorine-free, non-toxic product so I reckoned it wouldn’t damage the porcelain. Until now, I’ve been skeptical about these earth-friendly cleaners thinking they couldn’t possibly do as good a job as the big commercial cleaners. Wrong. Of course, when I saw what happened to the Blanc de Chines I went straight up to the bathroom to give Nature Clean a workout on its home turf . . .
Again, the results were amazing! That tub and those tiles really needed a cleaning and the Nature Clean did the trick with a minimum of effort, even removing stains that had survived assorted other cleansers.
I give Nature Clean top marks and not just because it’s a Canadian product. I’m so impressed I’m going to try the company’s entire product line. I bought my Tile & Bath Cleaner at Grassroots in Toronto but the line is available just about everywhere including Loblaws, Sobey’s, Metro and Canadian Tire.

I’m sold and off to Sobey’s! I have a certain shower cabinet that I’ve been putting off (a little scary).
Thanks again Chris.

I’ve been using Nature Clean’s toilet bowl cleaner (which I recommend)and their cream tub and tile products for years. Love them! Thanks for introducing me to the spray, it looks like it may work much better than the cream. I’ll try it next.

As a child of the 60′s clean means bleach or a giant pine forest so I was SKEPTICAL—but the proof is there. I have seen the light!!!

I had purchased this product for the first time just last week at a small bulk/natural food store on the Danforth, as I’m attempting to switch over to as many ‘green’ cleaning solutions as possible. I plan to tackle my shower stall this weekend, and with a testimony such as this I am now (almost) looking forward to the chore!
I’m also a fan of Method’s Daily Shower Spray (www.methodhome.com). Athough not a Canadian product, it is green in composition and powerful when it comes to keeping those ugly, soapy, hard-water streaks from forming on my glass shower enclosure. Their packaging design is thoughtful and understated. Also available at major retailers in Canada…

Nature Clean stuff is amazing. I’ve had a chance to try out a number if their products and I can’t get over how effective they are!! The products are also truely eco-friendly unlike some other ‘green’ products that are out there.
