Window Dressing: Espace Pepin, Montreal

I love nighttime strolls in Old Montreal where I always find at least two or three great decorating ideas peaking out from shop windows like this one at Espace Pepin, a lovely workshop-boutique at 350 rue Saint-Paul Ouest, where art, fashion and design dovetail beautifully. Although the shop was closed when I chanced by, I learned from the website that the store is outfitted with owner Lysanne Pepin’s original artwork and that of other Quebec creatives like Montreal artist Alexandre Bault, whose lamps are featured here and were included as part of styleNorth’s overview of last year’s Christmas One of a Kind Show.

I loved these lamps at IDS 09- Alexandre was so humble!

His work is so poetic and particularly suited for illumination.
