I, Covetous: Kartell Form

Splurge

There’s nothing in our home even remotely as modern as designer Piero Lissoni’s Form chair for Kartell. And yet I’m absolutely mad about this wide, welcoming chair-and-a-half. Every time I’m at Toronto’s Horsefeathers Home, which is where I first fell in love with Form, I make a beeline to the sexy Kartell display, above, to oogle the chair of my dreams ($1,552). Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but this seat really sends me.

Form looks hard but it’s actually made of spongy polyurethane, not memory-foam soft but there’s definitely some give to the surface. The seat is too big for our current living room which is a good thing because we’d need two of them and I don’t have $3,000 plus taxes to drop on a couple of chairs. But covet them I do.

I will sell you mine! I have no space for it. And yes, it’s orange. Contact me if you’re actually interested. Oh… I live in the states too, Chicago.

It is a fabulous chair though. I must agree. I will be sad to let it go.
