Do It Yourself: Patio Set Makeover

Mike dove into this makeover before I could take the “before” shot of this wrought iron patio table over-grown with weeds in a neglected corner of our garden. By the time I knew what he was up to, he was well on his way to rehabilitating it.

First, he gave it a good going over with a wire brush before tackling the remaining rust with sandpaper and course steel wool. Several passes with matte white Tremclad paint and he was nearly there . . .

The new seat fabric by Kaufman actually inspired the whole makeover; a quick go-round with the staple gun and we’re sitting pretty. The glass top was a $10 Church sale find.

I’m always amazed at what you can accomplish in just a couple of hours on a weekend. Great job Mike!
