Designers Walk: Kitchen & Bath Month

Technology is taking design in myriad new directions especially in kitchens and bathrooms where new surfaces and products are revolutionizing how we use these formerly utilitarian spaces.

Keeping up with the latest and greatest can be a full-time job and it is for the pros leading sessions at Toronto’s Designers Walk April 2 – 3 for the launch of Kitchen & Bath Design Month. While a couple of the dozen sessions are aimed at professional designers, most of them will be geared toward consumers and are free to the public, all you have to do is register in advance on the DW website.

Demos and talks take place at the DW Resource Centre (168 Bedford Road, 416.961.1211). Highlights include custom showering, bathware trends, what’s hot in countertops, cabinetry and woodworking trends, storage solutions, bathroom furniture and “residential green for kitchens”. Presenters include reps from Kohler, Moen, Richilieu Hardware, Mirolin Industries, Toto and the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
